The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will enforce a new provision- Section 17A Offence by commercial organization in the MACC Act 2009 effective from June 2020. Section 17A was enacted to enable the prosecution of commercial organizations involved in corruption. It contains Sec 17A (1): Offence by commercial organization Sec 17A (2): Fines and penalties to commercial organization Sec 17A (3): Fines and penalties to a person (director, controller or partner ) in commercial organization Sec 17A (4): “Adequate Procedures defense mechanism for commercial organization Sec 17A (5): Ministerial Guidelines on Adequate Procedure. T.R.U.S.T Top Level Commitment| Risk Assessment| Undertake Control Measures| Systematic Review, Monitoring and Enforcement|Training and Communication This one-day Awareness Program is designed for management and appropriate implementation team to grasp the essence of Section 17A Clauses 1-4 and how to establish and implement an effective ISO 37001:2016 Anti-bribery Management Systems (ABMS), complying to Sec 17A (5) guidelines on Adequate Procedures and the support that can be provided by ABMS Consulting Sdn Bhd.
